i.

ENGAGINGGEARS

The engaging gear of 1st / 2nd gear is having

unsymmetrical shank.

Engaging gear of 5th / reverse gear is having

symmetrical shank.

Engaging gear for 3rd/4th has symmetrical shank.

Dimension between drive shaft synchronizing face to

engaging gear 3rd - 4th front face: 11.1 + 0.1

All engaging gears should be free from play.

ii. SYNCHROCONES

There are three types of synchro cones.

1st/ Reverse synchro cone is bigger in diameter and

having slender dog teeth.

2nd/5th synchro cone is also bigger in diameter but

having thicker dog teeth.

3rd/4th synchrocone is smaller in diameter and having

depressions on minor diameter side face.

Check for synchro cone gaps. It should be 1 + 0.3

mm.
