D. Tank Unit :

Removal :

CAUTION

Unless replacement is necessary, Tank

unit, Fuel level sensor should not be

removed from the tank since the rubber

parts i.e. gasket, seals etc. may harden

when exposed to air and light.

Never apply an excessive force to the tank

unit nipple or lead wire. This may result in

bent or poor contact.

1. Fold the 2nd row RH seat and somersault it to

access the in tank pump cut out.

2. Lift the carpet with foam at the cutout.

3. Loosen and remove the screw of the cutout

cover and remove it.

4. Disconnect the connector and then

disconnect the fuel lines.i.e. Return line (From

pressure regulator to tank unit (1)), Delivery

line (From tank unit to pressure regulator (2)),

Return line (From tank unit to engine (3)).

5. Loosen and remove the 6 mounting nuts.

6. Lift the in-tank pump carefully out

NOTE

The fuel module shall consist of level

sensor, sealing ring and locking ring.

The material of the FSU seal shall be

HNBR as per SS:5565

Pump should have a flexibility in orientation

atleast for two positions.

Electrical cables and hoses connecting

pumps and flange should not be protrude

outside the diameter.

The float orientation to be decided by party

for better performance.

Be free from flash, Flaw, Rust and Concave

on joining and sealing surface.

Be free from foreign body in fuel passage.
