IDLE SPEED SETTING
Procedure
1. Setting the 'Idle' speed :
1.1 Set when the engine is hot.
1.2 Slacken the lock nut Á, and turn the idling screw
À Fig. 155g, to set the idling speed as specified.
1.3 Tighten the lock nut Á Fig. 167, and re-check
the idle speed.
2. Setting the Fast Idle Control Device :
2.1 The Fast Idle Speed as specified can be adjusted
by setting the stroke length of the Fast Idle
Control Device.
2.2 Slacken the lock nut  , and adjust the stroke
length of the FICD by turning the adjuster Ã

2.3 Hold the adjuster and tighten the lock nut.
2.4 Re-check the setting speed.
Specified value
Idling speed : 850 to 900 rpm
Fast idle speed : 950 to 1000 rpm
