B.APPROACH LIGHTS:
Approach lighting is designed to illuminate the area around from the vehicle for a pre-set time while
the user is entering or leaving. When approach lighting is active the Parking/Side Lights, Dip Beam Lights
and roof lamp illuminated.
The dip beam relay is always activated, irrespective of the combination switch
position.
Approach Lights are only active in Vehicle Power State OFF.
To activate Approach Lights, a valid Approach Lights button press should be received from the RF
remote. If the parking
lights input is active then Approach lights are still enabled.
When activated the Approach Lights are active for 30 seconds. At the end of the 30 seconds, all
lights are turned off, unless there is another active BCM input that prevents this. (
e.g. Door open, parking
lights on
.)
If the key is turned to the ignition position when approach lights are on, approach lights are cancelled
immediately.
If the key is in the ignition, in any vehicle power states (
indicated by the key in switch status
) all
approach light button presses are ignored.
When the approach light is turned ON and the user turns ON the parking light and opens the driver
door then a buzzer indication will be given till the parking light is turned OFF
When the approach light is On, the hazard parking LED will be ON until parking light is turned ON or
approach light switch is pressed again.
C.POWER FOLD / UNFOLD MIRRORS:
The power fold mirrors feature allows the vehicle user to fold or unfold the driver’s and passenger’s
exterior side mirrors using the power mirror adjust switch. This feature can be used when the vehicle is
moving or stationary. The feature is useful when parking space is limited.
The power fold mirror feature is active in the following vehicle power states: -
• Accessory (also Delayed Accessory Off)
• Ignition.
• Run.
If the mirrors are in the middle of a fold / unfold operation and the mirror fold input is sensed, the
mirrors stop the original folding operation and start the reverse operation. When the operation is ended, the
BCM mirror state is set accordingly.
If either mirror is manually folded, it is assumed that that mirror is mechanically disconnected from
the motor mechanism internally. The subsequent power fold mirror operation will resynchronize the mirror(s)
and reconnect the mechanism.
No Power Reset strategy is implemented. An idea to automatically fold / unfold the mirrors upon a
power reset condition is not recommended. For example, if the vehicle is in motion and the BCM loses
