COMPRESSOR RELIEF VALVE ASSEMBLY

- Apply compressor oil to the O-ring, and tighten

the relief valve.

Installation of compressor on vehicle

1. If a new compressor is to be fitted replenish the

oil. (Refer flushing procedure of compressor)

2. Locate compressor over mounting bracket and

tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR COMPRESSOR

MOUNTING BOLTS = 2.2 + 0.2 kgf-m

3. Reconnect the electrical connector of

compressor clutch.

4. Fit new ’O’ rings to high and low pressure hose

flanges, lubricate with refrigerant oil.

5. Fit high and low pressure hoses.

6. Fit compressor drive belt (Refer Compressor drive

belt or AC belt installation procedure)

7. Evacuate and recharge air conditioning system

(Refer Refrigerant Recovery, Recycling and

Recharging)

8. Reconnect battery.

9. Perform a leak test on disturbed joints. (Refer Leak

Test procedure)

10.Carry out AC functional check. (Refer A/C

performance check procedure)
