B. GEAR SHIFTERADJUSTMENT

(Selector cable)

NOTE:

Only selector cable can be adjusted.

1. Remove the Gear shifter console, for procedure

refer Body group GEAR CONSOLE REMOVAL

ANDFITMENT.

2. Keep the gear lever in neutral position and pull out

the lock such as to free the cable adjuster slot to

move.

3. Keep the gear lever in vertically upright position

and adjust the slot such that there is no slack in

the selector cable.

4. After adjustment press the lock back into its posi-

tion.

7. Pull out the projected pull and release the cable

from the cable anchoring bracket by lifting it.

8. Loosen the fuel tank mounting bolts.

9. Remove the cables along with grommet from the

engine compartment side and free it from the

clamping brackets.

Fitment:

Follow the reverse order of the removal process for

fitment and adjust the shifter cable for vertical

position of the shifter lever. For procedure refer next

section.
