Disconnect Starter motor solenoid terminal. Loosen

starter motor mounting bolt (M8x120) using T

Wrench.



Loose starter motor mounting bolt (M8x35) using

spanner.



Remove both bolts & pull starter from gearbox.

REFITMENT



For fitment procedure, follow the reverse

procedure of “Removal’

C. STARTOR MOTOR OVER HAULING

1. Removal of Solenoids



Remove the motor terminal nut.



Unscrew the solenoid mounting bolts.



Withdraw the Solenoid from the housing;

carefully dislodge the plunger rod from the

lever.

NOTE



While un-tightening the motor terminal and

solenoid terminal nuts, care should be taken

that spanner does not hit the solenoid cap and

break.



While unscrewing the solenoid mounting bolts,

care should be taken that the bolt head profile

does not shear.

2. Removal of End plate and Brush Holder

Assembly



Remove the solenoid as mentioned above.



Unscrew brush holder fixing.



Unscrew through bolt using.



Remove the End Cover.



Remove the Brush box by.
