BCM Microprocessor Failure

If there is a microprocessor failure of

BCM, the vehicle Dip Beam, Position lights, and

rear fog lights will illuminate when selected using

the Master Light switch. BCM will work in LIMP

HOME Mode.

NOTE:

All above functions can be activated without

ignition ON during microcontroller failure

condition.

Master light switch fail safe:

The BCM must be able to detect failure of

the master light switch. During MLS failsafe BCM

will turn on parking lights and Dip beam lights.

This functionality can only be active when the

Vehicle Power State is Ignition ON.

Front fog lamp Operation

:

Front fog lamp relay will come ON if:

1. Ignition switch is ON.

2. Parking light switch or head lamp switch is

ON.

3. Front fog lamp switch is ON.

Front fog lamp relay will go off if:

1. Ignition switch is off.

2. Parking light switch and head lamp switch

both are off.

3. Front fog switch is off.

Rear fog lamp operation:

Rear fog lamp relay will come ON if:

1. Ignition switch is ON.

2. Parking light switch or head lamp switch is

ON.

3. Front fog lamp switch is ON.

4. Rear fog lamp switch is ON.

Rear fog lamp relay will go off if:

1. Ignition switch is off.

2. Parking light switch and head lamp switch

both are off.

3. Front fog lamp switch goes off.

4. Rear fog lamp switch is off.
