B. SHORT FEED PIPE

DISMANTLING

1. Unscrew the flare nut of short feed pipe at hous-

ing and rack end and remove short feed pipe.

INSPECTION

Check for any damage or bend on the short feed

pipe.

ASSEMBLY

Properly orient the short feed pipe, enter the nuts at

both ends in the respective ports of rack tube and

housing and tighten the nuts evenly to the specified

torque.

NOTE

For torque value refer tightening torque table.

DON’TS

1. Never lift steering gear by holding bellows.

2. Never lift steering gear by holding Feed pipes

3. Never store steering gear resting on its bellows.
