6. Pull out and remove the speed sensor.
7. Pry at the bosses provided on the cover and the
case to break the sealant bond of the cover and
the transfer case in such a way that the metal
surface is not damaged.
NOTE
While lifting the rear cover do not tilt the cover
assembly to prevent the damage of cam shaft of
shifter mechanism.
8. Remove the snap ring and push out the ball
bearing from the cover using a drift
(Part No.
2870 5890 26 06.)
9. Loosen and remove three nuts.
