D. THERMOSTAT REMOVAL
1. Drain the coolant.
(Refer “Coolant Replacement
Procedure in this section).
2. Access the thermostat from top by removing air
filter assembly.
3. Remove the spring band clip
(1)
and disconnect
the hose
(2).
4. Remove the cover mounting nuts
(3).
5. Remove the cover
(1)
and thermostat
(3)
from the
housing
(4).
Replace the gasket
(2)
while refit-
ting.
FITMENT
For fitment follow the reverse order of removal.
Tighten fasteners to the recommended torque
.
Thermostat cover mounting: M8 nut– (2.2 + 0.3 Kg-
m)
