7. Loosen and remove three mounting bolts and
remove the tailgate latch.
8. Remove the electrical connector from latch
FITMENT
For fitment follow reverse procedure of removal.
TAILGATE STRIKER
REMOVAL
1. Open the tailgate.
2. Loosen and remove mounting screws and take
out the striker.
FITMENT
For fitment follow reverse procedure of removal.
TAIL GATE LOCK BARREL
REMOVAL
1. Open the tailgate.
2. Remove tail gate trim
(For procedure refer tail
gate removal procedure in this section
)
3. Disconnect the link between latch and lock
barrel from lock barrel end.
4. Remove bell crank and take out plastic link(1)
and then loosen and remove two mounting nut
(2) of locking plate of outer door handle.
