Circuit Short to Ground

This fault gets logged if the boost

temperature sensor signal pin of EMS

ECU is short circuited to ground.

1.

EMS ECU disables SPC(Speed

Pilot Control) strategy, no more

sPC trim update

2.

EMS ECU disables the AMF

sensor learning

1.

Check for reference voltage supply 2 fault- P0651. Rectify this

fault by folowing its rectification procedure.

2.

Check electrical continuity between the EMS ECU pina

A34,A68 and the boost pressure and temperature sensor

connector pins 2,1. Rectify if any harness issues are found.

3.

Check whether the Boost temperature signal pin A34 is short

circuited to ground. If so then rectify the wiring harness

connections to make them inline with circuit schematics.

4.

Check for any physical damage of Boost pressure and

temperature sensor or its connector. Replace sensor/connector

if damages are found.

5.

Check for any rust/dirt on the sensor connector. If so then clean

the connector and refit it.

6.

If the problem still persdists then replace the boost pressure

and temperature sensor.

7.

IF the problem still persists then replace the EMS ECU.

Component Internal Failure 1. This fault gets logged due to VGT

actuator internal failures.

EMS ECU tyakes following

recovery actions:

1.

Apply reduce torque 3 mode:(70%

of torque cut off at 2700erpm).

2.

Disable SPC strategy, no more

sPC trim update.

3.

VGT position control disabled and

recovery position applied.

4.

Disable the AMF sensor learning.

5.

Disable the AMF plausibility test.

6.

Disable cruise control function.

7.

Disable EGR control and close

EGR valve.

1.

Check 30A fuse connected to EMS power relay and battery

(+ve) power supply is not blown off . Replace if required.

2.

Replace the VGT valve if this fault apears.

3.

Replace EMS ECU if problem still persists.
