The electronic key communicates the identification code to ICU when the key is turned to the "Ignition ON" position. Engine will allow the Vehicle cranking only if the authentication between EMS and IMMO is successful and Transponder / Key used for cranking is paired to the Immobilizer unit. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned in above Table. If yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence. 2. Check whether other customers report similar complaints earlier. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with respect to earlier issue closure. 3. Check whether the Immo telltale in the instrument cluster is turned ON. If not, confirm that vehicle starting issue is not related to Immobilizer. 4. Check whether the ignition is turned On with correct transponder key. 5. Read Immo status from the diagnostic tool, Immo status shall be – ‘Authentication between EMS and IMMO failed / Bad authentication’ && Engine starting disabled by EMS. If Immo status is not as above, then vehicle not startingissue is not related to Immobilizer. Trouble Shooting:
