372 DRIVETRAIN 5. Assemble the spring, carrier and ball, along with the engaging gear into the Shifter Sleeve (3 rd and 4 th gear). 6. Place the Shifter sleeve assembly on the shaft. The groove should be towards the bearing side. C. ASSEMBLY 1. Fit the front half ball bearing using a suitable drift. 2. Place the synchro cone on the third gear and measure the gap. It should be within 1.15 ~1.40 mm. 3. Place the third gear on the input shaft and fit the circlip using special tool. 4. Measure the gap between the circlip and the third gear. It should be within 0.2 ~0.4mm.
