FRONT AXLE (4X4) 41 2. Clean the intermediate shaft. Insert and push shaft in same shaft and direction used while removal. 3. Install the shifter sleeve on the intermediate shaft through disconnect housing window while aligning with the splines on it. NOTE Shaft splines and shifter sleeve must be free from foreign particles and burr 4. Install the synthetic bush in the bore of axle shaft with the help of special tool (Part No.287058903308) NOTE The pressing force on the bush should not be too high otherwise it can damage the bush. 5. Insert the Thrust washers in the sequence opposite to removal in the disconnect housing and insert the axle shaft through the bearing from wheel end side of the disconnect housing. 6. Now install the circlip on the axle shaft with the help of circlip pressing tool.
