18. REMOVAL AND ASSEMBLY OF REAR

DAMPER ASSEMBLY AND COIL SPRINGS

1)

Lift the car using two-post lift.

2)

Remove Rear Wheel.

3)

Position the hydraulic jack below the knuckle of

cross beam in such a way that it slightly

compresses the spring.

4)

Loosen rear

Damper Assembly

bottom

fastener.

5)

Similarly carry out the above steps for the

other side.

6)

Remove both the

Damper Assembly

fasteners

holding the torsion beam using hydraulic jack

at any one side.

7)

Now slowly release and hold the hydraulic jack

pressure so that both the coil springs along

with top rubber can be pulled out.

CAUTION:

Do not lower the torsion beam below

certain level as the brake hoses will be damaged.

8)

Remove Rear

Damper Assembly

top mounting

on Body.

9)

Remove Rear

Damper Assembly.

FITMENT

Follow the reverse procedure.

19. ECIE CONDITION

Vehicle to be kept on flat surface and static

condition

1 Person weights = 68 kg, Luggage = 7 kg,

Two persons on front row with luggage = 2 X

(68+7) = 150 kg

One person on 2nd (rear) row 1X (68+7) = 75 kg

Extra luggage in boot area =30 kg

Fuel = 90%
