3. INTERMEADIATE SHAFT REMOVAL
1. Loosen the universal joint bolt between
steering column & intermediate shaft.

2. Remove the universal joint bolt between
intermediate shaft and rack & pinion assembly.

3. Disengage the intermediate shaft from rack &
pinion assembly and take out the intermediate
shaft.
REFITMENT:
For assembly follow reverse procedure of
removal.
NOTE:
Do not reuse the universal joint bolts.
Check & confirm the fitment torque as per
mention in the torque chart for respective
intermediate shaft manufacturer.
To differentiate both I-Shaft use below
identifications:
Inner and outer tube position.
Dust cap cover present in M/s. Mando make
I-Shaft.
