9. Insert the hollow dowels (8 no.s) into the
crankcase.
10. Assemble the lower bearing shell to the on the
bedplate. (Apply the coat of engine oil.)
11. Apply the sealant to the crankcase as shown in
below image.
12. Assemble the bed plate in given sequence with
100% of the final torque & angle (50Nm ± 5
Nm with 120° ± 15°).
NOTE
Bolts to be oiled at threads and seating
surface.
Do not Reuse the bed plate mounting bolts.
A. Tighten to 50Nm ± 5 Nm (5kgfm ± 0.5 kgfm) as
mentioned below.
B. Turn the bolt 120° ± 15° in sequence as
mentioned below.
NOTE
Apply sealant to bolt no. 5 and 6.
13. Alternately all screws to be machine tightened
simultaneously in each step.
14. Tighten the outer mounting bolts of the bed
plate in sequence as shown below.
