6. Loosen the drain plug and allow the coolant

to drain into the container.

7. Drain the coolant reservoir and rinse out any

sediment.

8. Use fresh water to reverse flush the radiator

from the drain to the coolant reservoir bottle.

9. Close the coolant drain plug on the radiator.

10. Add the recommended brand of pre-mixed

40:60 ratio coolant to the reservoir until the

coolant level is

at the 'MAX' mark on the

bottle.

11. Start the engine and gradually increase

engine speed to allow the engine to reach 85-

90

o

C, which allows the thermostat to open.

12. Allow the engine to return to idle speed.

13. Stop the engine and allow to cool sufficiently.

14. Add pre-mixed 40:60 ratio coolant to the

reservoir until the coolant level is at the 'MAX'

mark on the bottle.

iii. AIR FILTER ELEMENT REPLACEMENT

DESCRIPTION

Proper maintenance of the air filter is essential

for vehicle performance and fuel economy. The

air filter element removes foreign material such

as dust, dirt, and other material from the

intake air, thereby preventing the engine from

damage due to contaminated air.

Inspect and replace the air filter element.

Replace the air filter element as per service

schedule.

REMOVAL

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface, engage

the parking brake, and raise the hood.

2. Disconnect electrical connection to MAF

sensor.

3. Unscrew the top six mounting bolts of air filter

assembly.

4. Move aside the top cover of air filter along

with air duct and remove the air filter element.
