10 Remove the clip from parking brake cable
from both LH and RH brake assembly.
11 Remove inner cable from rear brake
assembly as mentioned in shoe removal
process.
INSPECTION
Check front and rear cable for any damage if
so, replace the cable.
Check other parts like plastic bushes; links etc.
for damage and replace defective parts.
FITMENT
For fitment follow the reverse procedure of
removal.
NOTE
While assembly, ensure that there are no
twists in the cables.
Check for the rubber grommets for any
damage and if needed replace with new one.
After fitment adjust the parking brake. (For
procedure refer parking brake adjustment in
regular maintenance section)
HAND BRAKE LEVER
REMOVAL
1. Remove the floor console
(For procedure, refer
floor console removal procedure in Body
section.)
2. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the
lever.
(For procedure refer parking cable
removal procedure in this section.)
3. Disconnect the electrical connection of hand
brake switch.
4. Loosen and remove four mounting bolts and
take out the hand lever assembly.
FITMENT
For fitment follow the reverse procedure of
removal.
NOTE
After fitment adjust the parking brake. (For
procedure refer parking brake adjustment in
regular maintenance section).
