10.TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY ON BENCH
NOTE:
It is not necessary to reestablish preload shim
thickness when new bearings are installed. It is
only necessary to establish preload shim thickness
when a transaxle housing component, gear shaft,
or differential is replaced. Transmission and
Transfer Case/Manual, Adjustments
1. Install the right and left side differential bearing
races using below tools
2751 5890 2621 - Installer, Bearing Cup
2. Install the magnet.
3. Assemble
the Race plate to assemble the
input & output shaft bearing outer race.
4. Install the new bearing races to the race plate
using the following tools:
For the Counter shafts bearing race (1 & 2) use
264058903511 - Driver Handle, Universal
