6. Align the seal bigger diameter on the housing
and position the big seal retaining clamp in its
place and swage the large seal-retaining
clamp using spanner Please tighten
alternatively between two bolts (i.e. don’t
tighten one bolt alone completely at a time).
14. DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY OF CV
JOINT ASSEMBLY (OUTER):
DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
1. Clean the shaft thoroughly using cleaning
solvent and hold the shaft at the middle of the
axle shaft in the vice.
2. Remove the large seal retaining clamp from
the CV joint with a side cutter or a screw-
driver with rounded tip and discard.
3. Remove the small seal retaining clamp from
the axle shaft with side cutter or screw driver
with rounded tip) and discard. Slide the seal
away from the joint along the axle shaft.
