iii. FITMENT OF CYLINDER BLOCK SUB-
ASSEMBLIES
Refer “Repair and Inspection Details” section
before reusing components.
1. Install the piston cooling nozzles.
NOTE
Use new gasket while installing.
2. Install all the upper main bearing half shell.
3.
Install the Crankshaft into the cylinder block.
4.
Install the thrust washer half shell.
NOTE
Ensure that upper thrust washer notch should be
perfectly aligned on cylinder block groove and
vertical grooves on the thrust washer should be
facing towards crankshaft side.
5. Install all the lower main bearing halves.
6. Tighten main bearing cap mounting bolts
gently and uniformly in order as shown to
specified torque
7. Apply oil on piston, piston rings, cylinder bore
and bearing shells.
