Trouble Shooting:

Step Checks

IF YES

IF NO

1.

Check for any other faults presence related to ECU Internal

power supplies.

Follow rectification

process for the

faults, before

proceeding further

Go to Step 2

2.

Check for electrical continuity between ECU to AMF

connector as per circuit schematic

Go to Step 3

Establish continuity

by rectifying

harness

connections as per

the circuit

schematic

3.

Are there any pins damaged at EMS ECU Connector or

AMF Sensor connector?

Replace the

connector or wiring

harness

Go to step 4

4

Are there any pins backed out from the EMS ECU

Connector or AMF sensor connector?

Rectify/Replace

Connectors

Go to Step 5

5

Check inlet air circuit for clogging and leakages in air path;

wrong assembly/fitment etc; Any issues found?

Clean the inlet air

circuit and remove

any clogging.

Rectify the leakages

Go to Step 6

6

Check whether the EMS ECU pin number K086 and K076

are open circuited (MAF Sensor pin 3 and ECM pin K076

or MAF sensor pin 2 and K086) or K086 is short circuited to

Battery or Short circuited to ground.

Rectify the wiring

harness.

Go to Step 7

7

Check for High resistance / Open circuit in MAF sensor

supply circuit (MAF Sensor pin 1 and Supply)

Rectify the wiring

harness.

Go to Step 8

8

Check for High resistance / Open circuit in MAF sensor

ground circuit (MAF sensor pin 2 and ECM pin K087)

Rectify the wiring

harness.

Go to Step 9

9

Fault Still Persists?

Replace AMF / MAF

Sensor

*1

. If Fault

still persists then

Call Hot line.

Follow the steps

again for

reconfirmation

Note

*1

: In case of AMF Sensor Replacement. Below Routine to be executed

“Reset Lambda sensor - 4.2.2 ‘Exchange of Injectors, Rail Pressure Sensor and MAF Sensor’ (LSU1 $

02 05 XX

)

– Sub-function

02“.

DTC’s confirmation:

After rectification, Test Drive the vehicle for 2 KM and ensure that no DTC’s are logged in ECM.
