Customer Symptom
Blower noise and annoyance
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
Blower will be Off. Hence no heating or cooling will be
achieved
Lamp Status (If Any)
AC will be switched Off
Blower will be turned OFF
Fault Detection Condition
Blower Control Circuit Motor line- Circuit short to Battery
Normal Operating Condition
With the Blower control circuit connected to the harness
and with Ignition ON, check the voltage between pin no 24
of blue connector & ground of the Connector. The voltage
range should be in between 1.73 to 8.71 V.
Probable Trouble Area
Drive line is short circuited to battery
Healing Condition
If there is a continuity between the Blower control circuit
& battery line correct the wiring harness (wiring harness
short to battery)
Component Details:
The blower is used for moving air from either an outside source--referred to as vented air--or from cabin air past the
heater core or air conditioning evaporator. In doing so, it causes a heat transfer either to the inside of the car or from
the inside to the outside.
Preliminary Checks:
Switch On the IGN & perform the following check.
1)
Connect the Diagnostics tool & check the DTC fault code
2)
Read ECU parameter value
Blower Speed Output (Internal Value)
for Blower speed with the diagnostic tool
