U0100-08:- Lost Communication With ECM(MTO)

ABS – Available(without Drag torque control), EBD –

Lamp Status (If Any)
ABS – OFF, EBD – OFF
Fault Detection Condition
1. ECM connector is not connected properly or disconnected
from its location.
2. CAN wire from ECM connector side are disconnected
3. ECM IGN & Battery fuse blown.
4. CAN_H, CAN_L or both lines of ECM are open circuit
Normal Operating Condition
ECM ECU communicates properly with TML diagnostic Tool.
Probable Trouble Area
1. ECM connector / ECM fuse.
2. CAN lines of ECM ECU
Healing Condition
1. ECM ECU is connected and no wiring harness issues
from ECM side
2. CAN_H, CAN_L or/ and both lines of ECM are connected
properly
Preliminary Check:
1.
Check resistance in Diagnostic CAN pin no. 6 and 14. It should be 120 Ω.
2.
Check for short conditions between CAN_H (pin no. 26)-CAN_L (pin no. 14), CAN_H (pin no. 26)-GND (pin no. 13),
CAN_L (pin no. 14)-GND (pin no. 13), CAN_H (pin no. 26)-Vbatt (pin no. 1) and CAN_L (pin no. 14)-GND (pin no. 13).
There should not be any short circuit conditions.
3.
Check continuity between IPC CAN_H (pin no. 8) vehicle side connector to OBD connector CAN_H (pin no. 6) and
CAN_L (pin no. 7) vehicle side connector to ODB connector (pin no.14)
4.
Read IVN DTCs in ABS in IGN ON condition
Note: After rectification please give Ignition latch to heal the DTC.
