MIL ON, CEL OFF
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

Lamp Status (If Any)
MIL ON. MIL Turns Off as and when fault condition is not
present / healed.
Fault Detection Condition (Root cause)
5. The sensed raw voltage value of the temperature
sensor downstream from the particle filter is less than
200 volt (T6).
6. This DTC gets logged ifoutlet DPF temperature
sensor short circuit to ground.
Normal Operating Condition
Proper wiring harness connections between Outlet Diesel
Particulate Filter exhaust gas temperature sensorand EMS
ECU.
Probable Trouble Area
Wiring Harness connections between Outlet Diesel Particulate
Filter exhaust gas temperature sensor to EMS ECU.
Healing Condition
Rectify the error Clear through diagnostic tool.Ignition OFF &
ON.
Component Details:
Exhaust gas temperature sensor is used to measure temperature inside exhaust system.
Preliminary Checks:
1. Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned in above
Table. If yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence.
2. Check whether other customers report similar complaints earlier. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with
respect to earlier issue closure.
3. Check for Damage in EMS ECU connector / Outlet Diesel Particulate Filter exhaust gas temperature sensor.
4. Check for any back out of pins at EMS ECU connector / Outlet Diesel Particulate Filter exhaust gas temperature
sensor.
5. Check for any damage of pins at EMS ECU connector / Outlet Diesel Particulate Filter exhaust gas temperature
sensor.
