B1017 – 12:- Control Signal to Accessory Relay Output – Short to Battery

Overview:-

ISO Code (DTC Code)

B1017 – 12

Customer Symptom

1. Amber color Accessory LED will remain ON in OFF

power mode.

2. Accessory load will remain continuously ON.

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

1. Amber color Accessory LED will remain ON in OFF

power mode.

2. Accessory load will remain continuously ON.

Lamp Status (If Any)

N.A.

Fault Detection Condition

1. Permanent short circuit to battery of control signal to

Accessory relay output.

2. Wire cut & shorting to battery of Connector-2 / Pin-16

signal.

3. Bending of pin-16 of connector-2 and shorting to

adjacent pin.

Normal Operating Condition

1. Vehicle battery voltage shall be normal.

2. No fault on control signal to Accessory relay output

should be present.

3. Amber color LED is SSB should be working normally.

Probable Trouble Area

1. Permanent short circuit to battery of control signal to

Accessory relay output.

2. Wire cut & shorting to battery of Connector-2 / Pin-16

signal with vehicle body.

3. Bending of pin-16 of connector-2 and shorting to

ground pin.

4. Amber color LED is SSB is faulty.

Healing Condition

1. After fixing short to battery fault on control signal to

Accessory relay output, In OFF power mode amber

color LED should turn OFF and in Accessory power

mode amber color LED should turn ON.

1. Check vehicle battery voltage, it should be normal.

2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending or damage.
