Customer Symptom
1. Mirrors do not operate in case of open wire fault.
2. ORVMs will operate for once either in fold
direction or unfold direction in case of Short to
Battery fault.
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
Mirror will not operate even on activation of Mirror
Fold/ Unfold switch
Lamp Status (If Any)
NA
Fault Detection Condition
This fault will logged with IGN ON/ ACC/ RUN and
mirror fold/ unfold operation is requested
Normal Operating Condition
IGN ON/ ACC/ RUN and No DTC logged. Mirrors Fold/
Unfold operation on activation of Mirror Fold/ Unfold
switch.
Probable Trouble Area
1. BCM connector Fault.
2. Harness issue.
3. Switch fault.
4. ECU fault.
Healing Condition
1. Switch request after fault removal
2. Clear DTC command- No DTC logged
Component Details:
BCM drives the mirror fold/ unfold output based on the mirror fold/ unfold switch request and mirror current
state i.e. folded/ unfolded
Preliminary Checks:
1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V)
2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
