U1013 – 12: Wake-Up Signal – Circuit Short to Battery

Overview:

U1013 - 12

Customer Symptom

Other ECUs(IC, Infotainment, and HVAC) may wake up

unexpectedly or may not wake up when required.

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

Other ECUs(IC, Infotainment, and HVAC) may wake up

unexpectedly or may not wake up when required.

Lamp Status (If Any)

NA

Fault Detection Condition

This fault gets logged by BCM when Wake-Up output is

shorted to battery.

Normal Operating Condition

Other ECUs(IC, Infotainment, and HVAC) may wake up

and will not operate.

Probable Trouble Area

1. BCM connector wired wrong,

2. Cockpit harness wire shorted to battery.

Healing Condition

1. Ignition OFF

ON

2. Clear DTC Command

Component Details:

BCM Wake-Up output is interfaced to other ECUs. If BCM is generated Wake-Up output and other ECUs will

work properly. If user opens any door, IC is wake-up and display door open status.

Wake-Up Signal is active high.

Preliminary Checks:

1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V)

2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
