Customer Symptom
1. Right Reverse Lamps always OFF.
2. Reverse lamp malfunction message on
Instrument Cluster
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
Right Reverse Lamps always OFF.
Lamp Status (If Any)
Always OFF
Fault Detection Condition
BCM log this fault when Right Reverse lamp output is
short to ground.
Normal Operating Condition
Reverse lamp comes ON when reverse gear is
engaged.
Probable Trouble Area
1. BCM connector Fault
2. Right reverse lamp output wire Short to ground
3. Lamp damaged
4. BCM ECU fault
5. Right reverse lamp mating connector fault
Healing Condition
1. Ignition OFF
ON
2. Clear DTC Command
Component Details:
Right Reverse lamps are located at right rear side of vehicle. Reverse lamp comes ON when reverse
gear is engaged.
Preliminary Checks:
1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above)
2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
