P1C13 - 41: Node Message Counter faulty

Node Message Counter faulty
ECU Pin Number

Customer Symptom
During ABS torque related functions, EMS ECU will not
support torque request from ABS ECU
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
During ABS torque related functions, EMS ECU will not
support torque request from ABS ECU
Lamp Status (If Any)
CE lamp is ON
Fault Detection Condition (Root cause)
When Engine Speed data is corrupted during
communication. Any of the the selected frames from Ipc node
is having Rolling counter Error
Normal Operating Condition
ECM ECU sends correct data in normal condition.
Probable Trouble Area
Electromagnetic interference, high frequency noise.
Healing Condition
Moving away of vehicle from electromagnetic
interference and high frequency noise

Preliminary Checks:

Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned above. If
yes,go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence.

Check whether similar complaints are earlier reported. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with respect to
earlier issue closure.
Trouble Shooting:
Step Checks
IF YES

Connect the diagnostic tool and Read DTC. Is P1C11 DTC
in current state?
Replace the ABS
ECU
Clear DTC
2.
If fault still persists
Replace EMS ecu
Repeat above
procedure for
reconfirmation
DTC’s confirmation:
After rectification, ensure the following points using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer.

DTC should not be in current state.
