10. Park Distance Controller (PDC) function integration in the BCM
10.1.1 Description
PDC function is to assist the user by providing visual and audible warning on the HU or Instrument
cluster to
the
user by gathering information from "Reverse Parking Sensors". during vehicle
BCM controls four/three/two sensors which are mounted on the rear or front bumper. PDC master sensor
activation is controlled by the BCM. Master sensor controls the slave sensors and get information of distance
and warning zones from individual sensors. This information is shared to BCM on LIN. BCM publishes this
information on CAN. The HU displays this visual warning information to the user and also gives the audio
warning as published by BCM.
