10.6.8 SIDE RSU OR SIDE IMPACT SENSOR
Removal
1. Disconnect battery and wait for 2 minutes.
2. Remove the B pillar upper and lower trim.
3. Disconnect the seat belt pre tensioner
connection and remove the seat belt unit
assembly.
4. Disconnect assy. W/H airbag connector from
assy. side impact sensor.
5. Unscrew hex flange bolt and take out side
impact sensor.
Note:
Connector pin out details of assy. side
impact sensor are same as front impact
sensor.
Installation
1. Locate the side impact sensor into assy. side
impact sensor mounting bracket cutout by
locator provided in impact sensor.
2. Tighten the side impact sensor on assy. side
impact sensor mounting bracket by using hex.
Flange bolt to specified torque (0.8 ± 1.0
Kgm)
3. Reconnect the airbag wiring harness
connector in to side impact sensor.
4. Refit the seat belt unit and its connector and
the trims on the B pillar.
5. Reconnect battery.
