Fuel Filter Replacement :

WARNING

Petrol and petrol fumes are extremely

flammable! If petrol fumes or

a

fuel leak is

detected, do not start the vehicle or allow

an open flame or spark near the vehicle.

Have the fuel leak repaired immediately.

The fuel system is under pressure. Relieve

fuel system pressure before replacing the

filter.

Petrol is an irritant. Wash hands

immediately after handling fuel.

Description :

The fuel filter is located beside the

vehicle fuel tank. A band clamp secures the

fuel filter in place. Replace the fuel filter when

changing the engine oil (every 10,000 km or

6 months). When the vehicle is operated in

adverse conditions or where fuel quality is

questionable, more frequent replacement

may be necessary.

power supply to the system fuel pump and

cranking the engine.

2. Disconnect the negative(-) battery cable.

3. Lift the vehicle on the hoist.

4. Remove the fuel line connections (Quick fit

Connectors) to the fuel filter.

5. Loosen the bolts, securing the fuel filter, in

the mounting bracket.

6. Remove the fuel filter from the mounting

bracket.

Installation :

1. Place the fuel filter in the mounting bracket.

Be sure to orient the fuel filter in the proper

direction.

2. Tighten the bolts that secure the filter in the

mounting bracket.

3. Connect the fuel lines to the filter, making

sure the lines are secure.

4. Lower down the vehicle from hoist

5. Start the engine and inspect the connections

for leaks. Stop the engine immediately and

repair any leaks.
