4. Disconnect the electrical connection to the
fuel filter.
5. Push the fuel filter in upward direction and
take it out from the groove in mounting
bracket.
INSTALLATION
1. Place the fuel filter in the mounting bracket.
Be sure to orient the fuel filter in the proper
direction.
2. Press the fuel filter in downward direction and
fit it on the groove in mounting bracket.
3. Connect the fuel lines to the filter, making
sure the lines are secure.
4. Lower down the vehicle from hoist
5. Start the engine and inspect the connections
for leaks. Stop the engine immediately and
repair if any leaks.
v. DRAINING WATER FROM FUEL FILTER
1. Stop the engine allow the pressure to
stabilize.
2. Disconnect the electrical connection of the
drain water sensor and also disconnect one
of the fuel lines either inlet or outlet.
3. Keep a suitable container to collect the
drained water.
4. Rotate the drain water sensor in anti-
clockwise direction for about 2 turns and
allow approximately 120cc of diesel to drain
and then tighten the sensor.
(Tightening Torque: 1.4 ± 0.2 Nm)
5. Reconnect the fuel line and electrical
connection that was disconnected.
6. Drain the water from the fuel filter bowl during
every service.
