WIRING HARNESS REPAIR MANUAL 9 PERSONAL SAFETY GUIDELINES PERSONAL SAFETY GUIDELINES Please follow the below safety guidelines before starting the repair work : • Turn the ignition off & disconnect the battery cable from negative terminal. • All required PPEs need to be worn properly before proceeding to the WH repair. • For under vehicles repair, safety stands to be used. • While working on any vehicle, parking brake to be engaged. • In Automatic transmission vehicle, “Park” mode to be applied. • Avoid the contact with hot metal parts like exhaust manifold, radiator etc. • Avoid flame or spark near battery otherwise explosion may happen. • Avoid smoking while working on vehicle. • Avoid loose cloth, hanging jewelry to prevent injury during working on vehicle. Never attempt to repair the following : • Supplement Restraint System • Wires, which are unique to safety critical areas such as ABS etc. • Repairs in CAN Wires are NOT allowed. • Any wire with cross sectional area greater than 6.0 sq.mm
