the air flows over the cold evaporator fins. This cold

dehumidified air is then mixed with the hot air (

if re-

quired)

to attain the temperature selected by the

occupant; the mixing control is done by the heater

door opening.

REAR AC

In this vehicle a separate AC unit is installed for rear

seat occupants. The refrigerant from the condenser

is split into 2 paths, one to the front HVAC unit and

other to the rear AC unit. The rear AC unit similar to

front AC unit consisting of a TXV valve, an evapora-

tor and a blower. It has ducts to the second and third

row seats.

NOTE

The rear seat occupants only have a separate AC

unit but no separate Heater unit.

Rear AC unit is an auxiliary system, hence it can-

not work when the front HVAC is turned OFF.
