OPERATION:
Controller allows windows to move when the
following inputs are present.
Ignition is ON or
Simulated Ignition from BCM is high
If any of the input is present, then window winding
controller will operate the motor as per window
winding Switch request.
The BCM Accessory Relay output is connected to
the Window winding controller and the mirror fold
relay. Whenever the vehicle power state is
IGNITION or RUN the BCM accessory relay output
should be high.
When the vehicle engine is stopped by the user,
the accessories should remain powered for 3 Min.
to allow powered functions to be performed without
turning the key to the ignition position again. (
E.g.
close electric windows and fold ORVM
).
When the vehicle power state changes from
IGNITION to OFF or KEY IN SENSOR, the BCM
Accessory Relay output will remain high for 3
minutes.
NOTE:
If driver door is opened, then Acc delay get
immediately cancelled.
There is an individual switch at each window and a
set of switches in the driver's door, so the driver
can operate all the windows. Switches are used
only to provide a mode signal to controller for
further operation. Motor current does not pass
through the Switches.
Each switch has four positions,
OFF
Manual Up (
MU
)
Manual Down (
MD
)
Auto Down (
AD)
When a particular mode is operated, ground signal
appears on particular terminal MU, MD or AD. In
case of Auto down ground signal appears on both
MD and AD terminals.
Child Lock Functionality
In switch circuit driver has an option to disable the
passenger switches (only rear door LH/ RH) by
locking the window lock switch (
Inside the driver
door window winding switch
).
When parking is switched ON, LED on the window
winding switches of driver as well as passenger
switches will be ON. Lock/Unlock switch RED LED
will be on when it is in child Lock (Inhibit) mode.
Window winding controller functionality during
cranking:
During cranking the vehicle, the following are the
window winding operations,
In Manual Up and Manual Down mode, the
windows stop moving during cranking and only
start moving after cranking if the user is still
operating the switch.
If Auto Down is active and user cranked the
vehicle, then window movement should stop
until vehicle get cranked and after that auto
down function get automatically activated
without user intervention.
