1.11 DAY TIME RUNNING LAMPS (DRL).

1.11.1 Description

This feature is used to increase the visibility of the vehicle to other drivers during daytime. The daytime

running lights are positioned on the front of the vehicle. For safety benefit, daytime running light is

compulsory in many countries.

1.11.2 Conditional Requirements

Activation –

• IGN is ON or Engine is running

• Head Lamps & Position Lamps are OFF

• Position lamp / Headlamp is activated 2 times within 3 sec.

Deactivation –

• IGN is OFF & Engine is not running

• Position Lamps are ON or Head lamps are ON

• Position lamp / Headlamp is activated 2 times within 3 sec.

Tell-tale Indication –

Telltale on IC as long as the DRL is ON

On Fault –

Telltale is turned off when all lamps are failed and Respective DTC logged.

Permanent DRL activation: turn Park Lamp on off two times within 3 seconds.

Permanent DRL Deactivation: turn Park Lamp on off two times within 3 seconds.
