6.7.4.3 REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF
LOWER ARM RUBBER BUSHES
A. Lower arm front pivot bush
Removal:
1. Remove front pivot bush using special tools as
shown in below arrangement.
NOTE:
Apply soap and water to the bush, the
inner
surface of the tool and the bore of assembly
lower link before installation.
Installation:
1. Install pivot arm bush using special tools as
shown in below arrangement.
NOTE:
Load should be applied concentric to the
bush
axis to avoid improper fitting of bush into
the
housing.
B. Lower arm rear pivot bush
Removal:
1. Remove front pivot bush using special tools as
shown in below arrangement.
NOTE:
Apply soap and water to the bush, the
inner
surface of the tool and the bore of assembly
lower link before installation.
Installation:
1. Install pivot arm bush using special tools as
shown in below arrangement.
