ASSEMBLY OF ENGINE ON VEHICLE
Check engine mounting pads for wear.
Replace the mounting pads if necessary.
l
Mount the engine on the vehicle aligning the
mounting brackets.
l
Tighten the engine mounting bolts to the specified
torque.
l
Assemble Alternator, A/C compressor with driving
belts
l
Assemble radiator and inter cooler
l
Connect exhaust pipe line
l
Fit the air filter
l
Connect all pipes and hoses of cooling and air
intake system
l
Connect AC pipe lines
l
Connect the hoses connecting to vacuum pump
to EGR and brake booster.
l
Mount sedimenter and filter assembly.
l
Connect sedimenter to tank and filter to HP
pump.
l
Fit the oil filter assembly and connect the oil
pressure switch.
l
Fit the battery and ECU.
l
Connect the power steering connections.
l
Fill specified quantity of oil and of specified
grade.
l
Fill coolant in the engine of the specified grade
and specified quantity.
l
Fill the specified quantity of power steering oil
of specified grade
l
Charge the A/C system.
l
Press the Pear pump until it becomes hard
l
Connect all electrical and earthing connections.
l
Crank the engine momentarily and let the oil
and coolant circulate in the system.
l
Check for abnormal engine noise. Identify the
source and rectify.
l
Confirm whether oil pressure lamp and engine
check lamp is switching off after engine is
started.
l
Check for any leakages, rectify if necessary.
l
Check HVAC system for correct functioning.
l
Check ''CHECK ENGINE'' lamp. If it glows
continuously diagnose the system using diagnostic
tool.
