ENGINE

Crank sensor

Vehicle speed sensor

also controls the Inlet metering valve on the Fuel

Injection pump, Engine cooling Fans, Air

conditioning and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)

valve.

The injection parameters are corrected for various

atmospheric conditions like cold and hot climates

and different Altitudes. Corrections are also applied

considering engine safety in case of faults and any

abnormal overheating. Fault detection is made

simple. Faults are recorded in the ECU which makes

it easy to be read with the help of a diagnostic tool

and to find a solution.

2.

Vehicle Speed Sensor:

This sensor is located inside the Gear Box which

gives vehicle speed information to the

ECU.It

also

helps the ECU in determining on which gear the

vehicle is driving and ensures smooth driving at all

gears.

EMS consists of the following sensors and

components

1.

Crank sensor:

The crank speed sensor is fitted on the clutch

housing. The position sensor is a magnetic field

sensitive transducer and generates a voltage output

proportional to the rate of change of the magnetic

field near a “sensed target” configuration. It

monitors the rotating speed (rpm) and speed

fluctuations of the engine and givens continuous

feed back to the

ECU.In

other words it gives engine

speed and TDC position signal to ECU.
