Remove snap ring. Ball (Spacer locking). Ref Fig. 45

Take out 1st speed gear assembly along with 1

shifter sleeve and engaging gear.

Remove needle roller cage.

Separate out synchro cones.

Gently separate out shifter sleeve from engaging gear

and remove springs carriers and balls.

Ref Fig. 46

Hold the main shaft assembly upside down. Pull out

taper roller bearing inner race with help of puller 2654
