Assemble the required amount of shims into hub.

Place bearing cone on the case hub & install bearing

cone using Installer differential side bearing Pt. no.

2698 5890 3512 and handle Pt. No. 2698 5890 3506.

Install spreader and dial indicator. Do no spread

carrier over 0.58 mm.

Remove dial indicator.

Install differential assembly into carrier. Fig. 67

Caution:

Carelessness in this operation can

seriously injure the hand of workman.

Install bearing caps. Fig. 68

Ensure the correct fitment of the caps.

Torque bearing cap screws to specification.
