ROCKER ARM ASSEMBLY
ASSEMBLY ROCKER SHAFT
(Fig. 4).
1.
Clean all part thoroughly.
2.
Fit spring clip in rocker shaft groove properly.
3.
Insert conical spring with larger diameter towards
spring clip.
4.
Separate rocker arms with lugs and without lugs.
These two sets of rocker arms have right hand
and left hand inclinations. Rocker arms having lugs
are to be fitted in positions 1, 3, 5 and 7 starting
from the front and those without lugs at 2, 4, 6
and 8.
5.
Hold spring clip end of rocker shaft away from
you.
6.
Slide rocker arm without lug on rocker shaft with
tip of rocker arm (valve end) towards your right.
7.
Slide rocker shaft bracket without threaded hole
with its rib towards your right.
8.
Slide rocker arm without lug with its tip (valve
end) towards your right.
9.
Slide rocker spring.
10. Slide rocker without lug with its tip towards right.
11. Slide rocker shaft bracket with threaded hole.
Align locating hole in rocker shaft with threaded
hole in rocker shaft bracket and fit grub screw.
12. Slide rocker arm with lug with its tip towards your
right.
13. Slide rocker spring.
14. Slide rocker arm without lug.
15. Slide rocker shaft bracket without threaded hole
Similar as in
sl.no. 7.
16. Slide rocker arm with lug.
17. Slide rockerspring.
18. Slide rocker arm without lug.
19. Slide rocker shaft bracket without threaded hole
with its rib towards your right.
20. Slide rocker arm with lug.
21. Fit spring clip in rocker shaft groove properly.
22. Insert conical spring with larger diameter
towards spring clip.
