Service

Water drain operation to be done on both filter and

sedimenter

1. Each time when water is detected by

sedimenter water sensor.

2. Each vehicle service.

Procedure for draining water from Sedimenter

1. Stop the engine, and wait until pressures

stabilize.

2. Unclip one of the hydraulic connections (either

inlet or outlet) and the electric connector of the

water sensor.

3. Place a container underneath the water

sedimenter.

4. Unscrew the water sensor about 2 turns.

5. Wait until all the water has drained out of the

water sedimenter.

6. As soon as the flow is free of water, screw the

water sensor to the required torque.

7. Clip the hydraulic connector and the electric

connector to the water sensor.

8. Use hand primer pump to refill the line before

restarting.

NEW SEDIMENTER LOCATION :

The sedimenter is located near fuel tank on side

long member of the chassis.

New Removal And Fitment Procedure Of

Sedimenter:

Removal :

Disconnect the water sensor electrical

Connection

Remove the Quick fit connector from

sedimenter to tank

Plug the pipe and port with the appropriate

caps after pipes are removed.

Remove the M8 bolt of the sedimenter

mounting bracket.

Take out the Sedimenter.

Fitment :

Place the sedimenter in the bracket with the

protective cap

Tighten the sedimenter in the bracket. Remove

the protecting caps and fix the inlet and outlet

ports by identifying the arrows shown on the

sedimenter.

Clip the electrical connector to the water

sensor.

Check that there is no leakage after assembly
