VALVE CLEARANCE
VALVE CLEARANCES SHOULD BE CHECKED
ONLY WHEN ENGINE IS COLD.

urn cam shaft with spanner, 2654 5890 05 01 and
check valve clearances. Refer Fig. 111.
Adjust as given below:

ote respective valve clearances.

alculate correct sizes of shims (The shims are
available in thickness 2.400 to 3.560 mm in steps of
0.050 mm) to get specified valve clearances as shown
in following table.

nstall all eight correctly determined size shims in
their respective positions.

echeck valve clearance and if incorrect repeat
above procedure.

emove camshaft gear.

nstall cam shaft front and rear oil seals using
adapter, 2654 5890 05 08. Refer Figure 112.
