1. REAR WIPE:

There are three wiping modes:

OFF

INTERMITTENT

ON

The wiper park position input switch is used to detect when the wiper blade is at the bottom of the wind

screen.

OFF

In this state the rear wiper should be in the park position. (

Indicated by the wiper park switch being

active

) When the wiper mode is changed from INTERMITTENT or ON to OFF the wiper continues the

current wipe operation until the park switch indicates the wiper is in the park position.

INTERMITTENT:

When INTERMITTENT is selected the rear wiper will use a fixed delay period of 12 seconds. When

INTERMITTENT mode is first selected the rear wiper will immediately wipe three times before beginning

interval operation. The delay period will then begin after the completion of the third wipe.

REAR WIPER ON

When ON is selected then the wiper will move continuously across the rear windshield. Their will be

no initial 3 wipes.

While returning from wiper ON to INT position the initial three wipes should not be performed.

2. REAR WASH

When the rear washer switch is pressed washer fluid is sprayed onto the rear windshield. Maximum

wash time is 30 seconds to protect the washer fluid motor.

During Wash active, wiping can not be selected, it is physically not possible to select this function.

If the rear wiper is in OFF or INT state and user press the rear wash switch then cont. wiper will take

place after 500 ms delay.

After completing the wash function BCM will provide the one more sweep. During wash mode if the

user change the mode to OFF or INT or ON mode then wiper will wipe the 1 more sweeps at the end of

washing before changing in to the new mode.

3. REVERSE GEAR WIPING

If the front wipers are active in any mode (

detected using the front wiper parking switch

) and reverse

gear is selected and the rear wiper mode is OFF, then rear wiper should be activated to clear the rear

windshield and aid driver visibility.

If the front wiper mode is INTERMITTENT, LOW SPEED or HIGH SPEED, the rear wiper should

wipe continuously for 3 sweeps. It should then wipe intermittently every 3 seconds until reverse gear is

cancelled or the front wiper mode changes to OFF.
